GDPR statement

Your data protection rights under UK GDPR and how to use them.

Our commitment

InterCoach Travels Company is committed to protecting personal data and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This statement explains how we apply those principles.

Our role

For most personal data we process, InterCoach Travels Company is the data controller. Where we process data on behalf of a client, for example passenger lists for a school trip, we act as processor under a written agreement.

The principles we follow

  • We process personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently.
  • We collect it only for specified purposes and use it only for those purposes.
  • We keep it accurate and limit it to what is necessary.
  • We keep it no longer than needed and protect it against unauthorised access, loss or damage.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Be informed about how your data is used
  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased in certain circumstances
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format, where applicable
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
  • Object to decisions based solely on automated processing, where applicable

How to make a request

Send your request to info@intercoachcompany.co.uk or write to us at the address below. Please include your name, contact details and what you are asking for. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act.

We will respond within one month. In some cases, for example complex requests, we may extend this by up to two further months, and we will tell you if we do.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls, encrypted connections on our website and secure storage. Staff receive data protection training.

Sharing and transfers

We share personal data only where needed to provide our services, as described in our privacy policy. Where a service provider processes data outside the UK, we check that appropriate safeguards are in place.

Personal data breaches

If a breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will report it to the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and inform affected individuals where required.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
